Weather as change

I wrote this while trying to define my approach.

To change how we perceive our relationship to the weather.
To initiate our transformation from observers to contributors.
To understand our part in creating weather.
That we are our environments and that there is a unique dialogue between our identity and the environment we inhabit.

an introduction

Last year I approached the Eye on the Sky meteorologists, and asked if I could create a work for exhibition in a room immediately outside of their offices at the Fairbanks Museum in Vermont. My first proposal developed my interactive work called Weathermaker. However, after subsequent meetings with the museum’s exhibitions director my project was redirected into a summer residency. In 2009, I applied for and received a Creative grant from the Vermont Arts Council.

This site contains research links related to the residency and will chart my progress. I invite you to make suggestions and provide feedback – hopefully, this site will function as a form of public brainstorming.
